The Trump family's involvement in the cryptocurrency market has intensified with the auctioning of access to President Trump through their own memecoin, $TRUMP. 

The auction, which rewards top buyers of the $TRUMP memecoin with a dinner with Trump and even a White House tour, has boosted the coin's trading price and generated substantial fees for the Trump family.  However, it has also raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest, foreign influence, and market manipulation.

Two experts: Erik Voorhees, an early crypto advocate who despises Trump’s involvement in crypto, and Justin Sun, who has been an advisor and investment partner to Trump on crypto.

→Sun’s firm, Seychelles-based HTX, has sunk a chunk of change into $TRUMP and has also invested in Trump’s previous cryptocurrency venture, World Liberty Financial.

→Voorhees has maintained staunch criticism of Congress’ attempt at stablecoin legislation, something both Democrats and Republicans are pushing for. 

→Veteran SEC investigators have told the New York Times that the promotional launch of $TRUMP would have certainly triggered an investigation in previous Republican and Democratic administrations.
